PP Mica Diaphragm PP mica, known for its outstanding acoustic characteristics, is incorporated into the speaker diaphragm. This provides both a high sound velocity to reproduce sounds across a wide frequency range and suitable internal loss to absorb unwanted vibration. Compared with ordinary paper cones, the PP mica helps reproduce a highly transparent sound with significantly lower distortion. Double Motion Damper This uses a high-compliance material and "high motion" shape in most of the area outside the voice coil junction. But it uses a stiff material and "low motion" shape in the outermost periphery. During ultrahigh power input, the outermost periphery regulates the stroke by applying a gradual braking effect. This Double Motion Damper maintains high linearity when driven at both high and low levels. Foamed Rubber Speaker Edge The natural elasticity of rubber helps it to reduce distortion. Using foamed rubber takes advantage of this characteristic while also reducing weight. The foamed rubber speaker edge widens the range of accurate motion, allowing long-throw action without distortion. Together with Double Motion Damper, this overcomes the limitations of compact speaker. Soft Dome Tweeter The soft dome tweeter helps eliminate distortion, particularly in the frequency range of vocals, so vocals are reproduced clearly and with minimal noise. The dome shape also enhances directional characteristics to send excellent sound over a larger listening area. 1080p Up-Conversion This function up-converts the video signal on an ordinary DVD to the equivalent of a 1080p HD signal.
