High-definition like never before
Pioneer Electronics has upped the ante on its commitment to offering a Full HD experience in the living room with a trio of audio and video products that faithfully deliver 1080p 24Hz picture performance.
Launching a sophisticated collection of new 1080p High Definition product offerings under the sub-brand name ‘LX’, which stands for luxury, the new Full HD experience from Pioneer will include everything from the panel (KURO Full HD TVs), to the source (Blu-ray player, DVD player and DVD recorder) and sound (new flagship 1080p AV receivers).
Helping lead Pioneer's Full HD experience is The Pioneer KURO PDP-LX508A 1080p plasma TV.
The Pioneer KURO PDP-LX508A Full HD plasma offers unrivalled manufacturing quality, product quality and service support for the customer who is not willing to compromise.
‘Intelligent’ improvements mean the new televisions are even more user-friendly and simple to operate, including a new light sensor & ‘optimum mode’ that automatically adjusts the picture for optimum viewing conditions, HDMI control that helps your system work in unison and a USB input to display your favourite pictures.
Seeing and hearing like never before. Black like never before. Artists start with a white canvas; televisions start with black. The deeper the black, the more colours the television has to paint with. Black breathes life into colour, brings out detail and creates dimension and space. Now everything the Director intended, from the subtlest nuance to the most powerful picture, is brought to vivid life on the screen in front of you.
Television like never before:
Pioneer KURO PDP-LX508A Full HD plasma offers unrivalled manufacturing quality, product quality and service support for the customer who is not willing to compromise.
Imagery like never before:
Prepare yourself for motion so smooth and images so solid, anywhere you move in a room the view is crystal clear. Colours remain true and images remain constant. Now everything you see looks and feels so real you feel as if you were there.
Manufacturing quality like never before:
The Pioneer KURO PDP-LX508A Full HD plasma is designed and built in Japan, using Pioneer glass and components. We don’t compromise on quality ,and neither should you.
Pioneer engineers control the entire manufacturing process, and have developed and patented many of the world-leading technologies that make Pioneer Plasma Display Panels so unique.
Product quality like never before:
Crystal Emissive Layer
The introduction of a recently-developed crystal emissive layer has improved luminous efficiency and achieved an amazing contrast ratio that you have to see to believe. You can now see far more detail in darker areas - you'll be stunned by how much more detail you’ll notice in your favourite films.
Direct Colour Filter
The filter reduces reflections by removing the glass plate from the front filter and combining the films. Less layers means less screen reflections so blacks remain truly black and colour purity is maintained even in bright room conditions.
Deep Encased Cell Structure
By deepening the cell structure, there's more area for the phosphor, resulting in increased brightness. Whites are much whiter, and colours are much brighter, making the image more intensely realistic.
New ASIC chip (video processing chip)
Our ASIC processing chip works in harmony with the Kuro Panel to create images that are smoother, clearer, sharper, and more vivid than ever before.
Smooth - Pioneer uses Flex CLEAR Drive to distinguish fine greyscale steps for each of the primary colours. With thousands of greyscale steps, subtle details can be expressed even in a dark image.
Clear - Tuner NR automatically detects analogue TV signal strength and optimises the noise reduction to produce the clearest image possible even if the signal is weak.
Sharp - As the images change, Pioneer's Plasma changes to suit. The active Dynamic Range Expander optimises contrast and black level expansion to ensure black is deep and rich yet even fine shade differences are faithfully rendered.
Vivid - More than 8,500 gradations from white to black means more colours than ever before. With Pioneer's colour management system these colours can be tuned to match your viewing preference.
High Definition Ready
The Pioneer 8th generation plasmas have an in-built digital high-definition tuner, allowing you to immediately enjoy HD television without have to purchase a set top box.
For home theatre experts and anyone looking to the future, Pioneer Plasmas feature an uncompressed all-digital interface called HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface).
Digital video and audio sources can be transmitted directly without any analogue conversion or compression. Put simply; no intermediary conversions, no loss of signal quality. Bring together the Pioneer KURO PDP-LX508A Full HD plasma with a Pioneer Blu-ray player or other Full-HD source, and Pioneer can offer you an experience that is on par with going to the movies.
Improved sound
Pioneer's newest 50-inch plasma panel comes with a brand new digital amplifier for vastly-improved sound, and removable side speakers.
Toll free number
Pioneer has a toll free number 1800 060 852 that puts you in touch with Pioneer’s technical staff who can answer queries and arrange any necessary service calls.

• Displaying the same still images for long periods should be avoided as image shadowing or burn-in may occur.
• Specifications and design subject to modification without notice
• Plasma Display Systems display images consisting of hundreds of thousands of minute pixels (light emitting cells), and there is a possibility of inactive, flashing or continually illuminated pixels.
• All phosphor-based display systems (Cathode Ray Television Systems, both direct view televisions and projection televisions as well as plasma display systems) may possibly have image retention, also known as burn-in. recommended guidelines are as follows
• Do not display static images for long periods(such as still images, fixed images from PC or TV game equipment, and/or fixed images such as time of day indicator or channel logo display)
• Do not display content in the 4:3 aspect ratio black or grey bars on left and right side of content) or letter-box content (black bars above and below of content) for extended periods of time, or use either of these viewing modes repeatedly within a short period of time. This Plasma Display System is equipped with multiple wide-screen viewing modes; use one of these screen modes to fill the entire screen with content
• Displaying dark images after displaying still images for a period of time may cause Image retention. In most cases, the image retention can be corrected by displaying bright images for a similar period of time. However, if your Plasma Display System displays still images for additional long periods of time, image retention may be irreparable
• Plasma Display Systems emit slight amounts of IR (Infrared Emission) through luminous discharge technology. This IR(Infrared Emission) is not harmful to living organisms, but may interfere with the operation of remote controls for other equipment, or cause static in equipment using IR Infrared Emission)(such as cordless headphones or cordless microphones)
• Plasma Display Systems may have a negative effect on sound or images coming from AM radios, PCs or video-related products/li>
• Plasma Display Systems are made of glass; be sure to secure it from damage from impact.
• Plasma Display Systems, while in use, may generate some functional sounds, for example: fan motor noise, and electrical circuit humming/glass panel buzzing.
• The Plasma Display System Media Receiver uses an on-board cooling fan.If the ambient temperature of the Media Receiver becomes high, the speed of the cooling fan increases and it may sound louder than normal during the cooling period.
• To connect a DVI/HDCP compatible device to the HDMI connector, a conversion cable or adaptor is necessary. Please note that DVI does not feature audio transfer. This unit has been designed to be compliant with HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface)version. Depending on the component you have connected, using a DVI connection may result in unreliable signal
